Finding the right marketplace to efficiently sell items is the biggest challenge in making a good profit.  eBay offers one of the largest audiences for selling but many people are scared because the concept of posting, selling, and shipping can be overwhelming.  My friend John wrote an excellent article for my blog with his tips for getting items listed and sold on eBay.

Before we get to his post, let me share one quick tip with you that I have recently learned.  You will need access to a good scale for weighing your packages.  DO NOT buy your scale at the local office supply store.  I checked prices at our local Office Depot and was SHOCKED.  The cheapest digital 25lb scale cost $132 plus tax.  A quick search of Amazon found the exact same scale, with a 4.8 out of 5 review average, for $25 new!  Recouping the cost of a $25 scale is much easier than a $132 scale.
